DONATION/FUNDRAISING FROM KYC – UK FOR THE CAMPAIGN OF LIMBUWAN AUTONOMY

In response to your email letter dated 24 February 2008 in regards to the above mentioned subjects, I as the Finance Coordinator am writing this letter to you for the approval of authentication. This helps you to keep record for the long run.

I hereby confirm you that I received NCR 3 Lakh ( 297,000/ cheque and Rs 3000/ cash from Dr Chandra Laksamba, equal to your Pound1400/ + Pound 1000/ from your KYC UK fund = Pound 2400/) from Dr Chandra. We held a combined Meeting with Dr Chandra and the KYCCC Nepal on 2nd March 2008 as your direction where he handed over the said sum to me. We are very glad to admire your immense support to the campaign which has helped us to launch the program for the sake of Limbuwan Autonomy with wider prospects. We have launched the fundraising program internationally, namely – Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, USA, UAE etc.like we did to you but we have a little response from them so far. We will publish this information in our Tanchhopa Patrika as usual.

Further more, we discussed two different matters, they are Limbuwan Research Centre and the publication of Limbuwan Kipat System written by Dr Narayan Prasad Sangraula which as you are aware, has been an issue among us. For your information, there will be another meeting next week with Dr Chandra in these issues to reach to the point and the minutes finalized one will be forwarded to you as you have asked us. We thank KYC UK for anticipating the need of Limbuwan Research Centre and forming up the committee for this too.  Of course, this becomes a key focus for us in the long run for our sake. We humbly request our Daju Bhai, and Didi Bahini abroad to afoot together to achieve the goal. Once again, very many thanks to KYC UK for their unforgettable support to the campaign of Limbuwan Autonomy.

Dear President KYCCC Nepal Arjun Limbu
Maj (Ret’d) Deoman Limbu MVO, MBE, Worldwide Co-ordinator KYCC Nepal.

We are very delighted and with a touch of pride to have you in our organisation. Under your leadership, the KYCC Nepal has launched various education sharing programme/campaigns in different locations in Limbuwan states in order to promote and educate all Limbus, about the rights of the Limbuwan Federal State with its aim for self-governance. I know that you are still campaigning and suppressing the Government along with a various Limbuwan political parties, and working tirelessly as volunteers for the sake of all Limbus.

I would like to thank you personally for contribution towards this campaigns and education sharing programme.  However, a key issue that emerged at our meeting and, a vision shared by all, is that the existing Limbu political parties should merge, unite and operate under a single umbrella to make the movement more effective politically and intellectually.  It is requested that KYCCC Nepal mediate and play a positive role in gelling them together - a request by all KYC-UK members.  Should this happen in the future any support needed will be readily available.  This is not the case with the current situation as our members are confused as to which “faction” to support.
 
Had it not been for your support, relentless campaigns and inspiration, it would not have been possible to have achieved this excellent news for all Limbus. I would also like to salute all “Janjati leaders who have managed to change the Constitutions of Nepal with your vision for equality.  You have our 100% morale support from us”. 
 
Major (Ret’d) Deoman Limbu, the KYCC Nepal Worldwide Co-ordinator has requested KYC-UK, to raise some funds to help and support the above education sharing programme.    I am delighted to announce that KYC-UK has managed to collect £1400.00 from our members and other Nepali, Daju, Bhai, didi and bahini haru and £1000.00 from the KYC-UK fund.   A total of £2400.00 equivalent to approximately NCRs 300,000 thousand has been handed over Mr Deoman Limbu, the Worldwide co-ordinator KYCC Nepal. Although we are unable to physically assist with the campaign or raise a huge amount of funds, we sincerely hope that this fund will be of assistance.

With regards to the Limbuwan Research Centre, an update on the process achieved so far would be appreciated.     A committee has been formed in the UK to assist the Research Centre by KYC-UK.    It is envisaged that Dr Chandra Loksamba is contemplating to visit to Nepal on 25rd of Feb 08, who will represent KYC-UK to discuss the progress of the Limbu Research Centre in Nepal.  President KYCCC Nepal is requested to arrange an informal meeting with our Advisors, Bairange Kaila, Dr Chaitane Limbu and whoever you think is suitable for the above subject and send me minutes with Dr Chandra, so that we can commence the project from our side.

किरात याक्थुङ चुम्लुङ यू.के.को पाचौ पूर्ण बैठक विभिन्न महत्वपपूर्ण निर्णय साथ सम्पन्न

गत १९ जनवरीका दिन वेलायतको आसफोर्डमा किरात याक्थुङ चुम्लुङ वेलायत कमिटीको पाचौ पूर्ण बैठक विभिन्न महत्वपपूर्ण निर्णय गर्दै सम्पन्न भएको छ ।
बैठकले बर्षरि भएको कार्यप्रगतिको समिक्षा गर्नुको साथै लिम्बूवान स्वायत्त राज्य स्थापनाको निमित्त किरात याक्थुङ चुम्लुङ नेपालले संचालन गरेको लिम्बूवान जाँगरण अभियान प्रति प्रतिबद्धता जनाउदै २ हजार ४ सय पाउण्ड आर्थिक सहयोग तुरुन्त पठाउने निर्णय गर्‍यो । यो तेस्रो कार्यसमितिको कार्यअवधि पनि चाडै सकिने भएकोले नयाँ कार्यसमिति निर्माणको लागि गणेश लिम्बू र डा. चन्द्र लक्सम्बालाई

निर्वाचन आयुक्त तोकेको छ । इच्छुक ब्यक्तिले उम्मेदवारीको लागि आगामी १२ अप्रिल २००८ भित्र आफ्नो नाम दर्ता गराइसक्नु पर्ने र २६ अप्रिलका दिन बाषिर्क सभाद्धारा चौथो कार्यसमितिको निर्वाचन गर्ने निर्णय गर्‍यो । त्यस्तै गरि प्रत्यक बर्षआयोजना गरिने वेलायतबासी सम्पूर्ण लिम्बू परिवारहरुको बृहत भेला आउदो १९ जुलाइका दिन सिसेक्वा तङनाम साउने संक्रान्तिको अवसरमा आसफोर्डमा सम्पन्न गर्ने पनि र्सवसम्मत निर्णय भयो ।

कमिटीका कोषाध्यक्ष श्रीमति कमला लिम्बूले गतबर्षनेपालका बाढि पीडितहरुका लागि १५ सय ५७ पाउण्ड नेपाली दुतावास लण्डनमा आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम वीच गैर आवासीय नेपाल संघलाई प्रदान गरेको त्यस्तै गरि अल्पायूमै र्स्वारोहण हुनुभएका भाञ्जा ड्यानिल लिम्बूको सहयोगको लागि १६ सय ५० पाउण्ड मृतकका बुबा तिर्थराज लिम्बूलाई सहयोग प्रदान गरेको बताउनु भयो । वेलायतमै रहनु भएको कैलाश लिम्बूको पनि गतबर्षअसमायिक निधन भएको थियो । स्व. लिम्बूको श्रीमति युवाकुमारी लिम्बूलाई बैठककै अवसरमा वेलायत चुम्लुङका अध्यक्ष श्रीप्रसाद लिम्बूले ९ हजार ५ सय १६ पाउण्ड चुम्लुङको तर्फबाट सहयोग प्रदान गर्नुभयो । चुम्लुङको तर्फबाट स्वर्गिय कैलास लिम्बू र ड्यानिल लिम्बू प्रति श्रद्धान्जली ब्यक्त गर्दै भैपरि आएको बेला यसरी नै आपसी सहयोग निरन्तर हनुपर्ने बताउनु भयो र यसपटक सहयोग गर्नुहुने सबै दाजुभाई तथा दिदीबहिनीहरुलाई धन्यवाद ज्ञापन गर्नुभयो ।

बैठकले आगामी समरको बृहत भेलाको अवसरमा नेपालबाट विभिन्न लिम्बू प्रतिभाहरुलाई वेलायत ल्याई सम्मान गर्ने सम्बन्धमा पनि छलफल गर्‍यो । आगामी बाषिर्क भेलाले अनुमोदन गर्नेगरि चुम्लुङ खेलकुद म्यानेजरमा पूर्व क्याप्टेन बंमबहादुर लिम्बूलाई तोकेको छ । वेलायत चुम्लुङ भवनको खरिद गर्ने सवालमा छलफल लगायत किरात रिर्सच सेन्टरको स्थापना साथै लिम्बू लाइबे्ररीको सवालमा पनि चुम्लुङ अब तातिएको कुरा वेलायत चुम्लुङका महासचिव राजन लिम्बूले बताउनु भयो ।
